My ancestors from Monroe County are Jesse Baxter and Martha Andrews, who were born and married in the county and later moved to Sherman, Texas. It seems to me that back when I was actively researching them (receiving a lot of help from other researchers!) that I ran across a Jesse Bugg somewhere in the county. Now, both my ancestors appear to have Bugg as a middle name, and they named their youngest son Jesse Bugg Baxter, Jr. I have always wondered whether Jesse Bugg had some connection to the family, or was a good friend of all their parents, or was a local hero.
