    3. Carol: Just read your request for information on the Bugg line. One of my American Revolutionary ancestors, 5th great grandfather, was John Bugg of Virginia; he had several sons, one of which was named Jessie. This Jessie Bugg married Mary Andrews, 27 Jan. 1811. Don't know anything more about Jessie since I descend from John Bugg's daughter Lucy Bugg who married James Gee. Lucy Bugg Gee and John Gee both migrated to KY and are buried in Monroe Co. KY. Looks like to me your Bugg and Andrews go back to 1811. They may have all moved to KY after the American Revolution. Some of my line of the Lamb and Gee names moved from KY to Sherman, TX also. My ancestors from Monroe County are Jesse Baxter and Martha Andrews, who were born and married in the county and later moved to Sherman, Texas. It seems to me that back when I was actively researching them (receiving a lot of help from other researchers!) that I ran across a Jesse Bugg somewhere in the county. Now, both my ancestors appear to have Bugg as a middle name, and they named their youngest son Jesse Bugg Baxter, Jr. I have always wondered whether Jesse Bugg had some connection to the family, or was a good friend of all their parents, or was a local hero. There must have been SOME reason they both got the name. I would be thankful if anybody has a clue for me.
