That is an interesting spelling for the daughter of Allen Hunter. She was my grandfather Simon Hunter's sister and the family spelled her name Lou Genie Hunter Hall. Hello, I need a photo of Winford and Esther Fawbush or other members of their family to add to a story about Winford and Esther that was shared with me by Levy Belcher. This story will go into a book of south central Kentucky history. I will be very grateful for your help, Ruth Rogers
If you will post some approx. dates I'll check all the material I have and see if I can help you. I just typed in Andrew J. Harris for Ky and got a whole bunch of them. I know that my HALL's started in Macon Co. TN, then went to Monroe Co KY by 1860. Arnold Hall was in the civil war and I have his pension papers, which mention his birthplace, and that he had Red hair and Blue eyes, He was a minister, and one of my Aunts said she remembered him trying to prepare the Message, when they were at her grandparents house, and that he had to hush them because he couldn't concentrate on what he was doing. On Sept 19th 1862 at Chickawanga TN. It said that he was struck over the eye by a fire brand thrown by a comrade inflickting a sereve wound 2 1/2 inches in legnth, and said that if offected his eye sight to a conciderable extent. -- Teddy List Mom for the Grayson Co Ky List, Brady, Vertrees, Ford, Fulkerson, and Commonwealth http://www.kygenweb.net/pd-res/deford.html -------------- Original message -------------- > Hello Macon County researchers, > > List the surnames and what you are trying to find in Macon County > on the list messages. I got this from the Kentuckiana List, it is a good record, I found 3 of my Bruners on it. these records are great records, I have 2 of them, and they tell the children's names, and if the soldier had been married before, if the wife go the pesnion after the husband died, there is even more informtion. If they were Confederate, you have to get them from the State, I've been told. http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/soldiers.htm Thanks to Sherry Hall -- Teddy List Mom for the Grayson Co Ky List, Brady, Vertrees, Ford, Fulkerson, and Commonwealth http://www.kygenweb.net/pd-res/deford.html

Does anyone know the descendants of Bell Harris Young b;1886? and her husband William Young b;1884 I would be very much interested in corresponding with any one related to them? Bell was my grandfathers sister. Thanks Carla Harris
Gorin Genealogical Publishing has published a book (about 315 pages) on Cemetery records in Monroe County. It has most of the cemeteries listed and is indexed. It was published in 1997. The address is: 205 Clements Ave., Glasgow, KY 42141 . Gorin Publishing has a web site ggpublishing.tripod.com/ (I think) Google the company name, and it comes up near the top.
