Sorry, I didn't see either name listed. Hopefully another of our Ford researchers will be able to help. Mike
Do you have a Lena Ford who married a Dewey Eakle in your line? Shelley
Hi Ray, Thanks for taking the time to lend a helping hand.....I appreciate the help. I clicked the link you sent below and the Pedigree Chart appeared on my window. When I typed in the data for 5 generations of ancestors, then clicked to EMAIL it to myself, what I got was the Pedigree Chart, "without", the data I had typed in ????? It baffled me too..... I tried again, and yet again without success. Then I went to another "free chart website", took the time to type it all in again, (using a different chart of course), and when I tried to email it back to myself, I got a message saying this site did not email or save anything other than the, "blank", chart. Their advertisement on their website stated we COULD email and/or save it, yet it didn't work when I tried. Then I went up to my Acrobat Adobe to make sure I had 6.0 version and I did, so that shouldn't effect anything. I'll give yours a try once more to see if it works. Thanks for trying to help. If you print it out and fill in the blanks and then scan it, you can email it that way. if you upload your gedcom to the worldconnect.rootsweb.com site, he would be able to access it from his computer and print it on his own printer. There is a pedigree view that you can click on. --- Mimi Alexander <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi All, > > My Grandson phoned to requesting a Pedigree Chart > showing his 6 generations on both sides of the > family. Doug, I'm happy that you have placed Bill Ford's work on your site. That was 40 plus years of family research that we were concerned was lost. Bill was convinced that Alexander was that father of Lisby Milton Ford. This was on his maternal Ford side, and not mine, I haven't researched that in any detail. He determined this using some of the testimony and other data he discovered. We had a minor disagreement on Mordicia Price Ford's parentage, our paternal side, but both had agreed that it was most likely William. After Bill's death, several things led me to believe strongly that William was the father even though I don't think that Mordicia ever knew for sure who was his dad. In the court case of Lloyd's will, Mordicia Price Ford was ask what his relations to the Fords. He stated "they are my uncles I reckon". Since William was part of this case, he should have said father and uncles. I had already convinced myself that William was the father when statements from Tammy Wells book and while talking to some older Fords in Monroe, I was told that in later years, the daughters of William and Nackey Ford said that Mordicia Price Ford was their half brother. This was apparently something kept quite until well after everybody involved had died. I'm sure, as most Ford researchers, that Leah was the mother and that the name probably came from her father and mother's maiden name. If anyone can add or have another opinion, please reply. Feels good to be in contact with you again, been awhile, Mike
This is for Mike Ford: Mike, I haven't worked on Fords for a while, but I'll ask a question. Did you ever make up your mind about the parentage of Lisby Milton Ford and Mordecai Price Ford ? Phil lists Leah as the mother but no father(s). I know Bill Ford had an opinion but I can't remember what it was. You might want to know that I put up Bill Ford's old web page on my server and there is a link from my web page: http://www.public.asu.edu/~moore/ You can also find a link to Bill's transcription of Lloyd Ford's trial. Thanks, I know Phil well. We share several Monroe Co. family lines and have shared information as well as debated our family theories. Mike
Sorry, I'm not familiar with that name. Several Ford brothers, and others, moved to Monroe Co. in the mid 1850s. They all had large families who had large families so there are several Fords still in Monroe Co. that we know are blood kin, just don't know how close. Mike
That must be the John Ford, son of our Lloyd Ford Sr. My line is from your John Ford's brother, Lloyd Ford Jr. There were so many children in our Ford family and John was a family name. If this is the correct John Ford, then we go back to the common ancestor, Lloyd Ford Sr. and Mary Grant. Mike
