Would be grateful for any info on the family of James Vanarsdell b1836 KY and married to Nancy Tesler? perhaps in 1856. The 1880 census has them in McAfee, Mercer Co, KY with children John Lizzie James Charlie Maggie Julia and Lutie. James and son, John were both blacksmiths. John may have married Susan Gilpin.
