Born September 12, 1916 in Morning Glory, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ora Thomas and Anadale Scott Smith. She was a homemaker and a Jehovah Witness. Survivors include: her husband, William Schebesch, Panama City, FL; one son, Maurice Wilson Jr., Boca Raton, FL; one daughter, Woodie Peavler, Burgin; one step son, LeRoy Schebesch, Panama City, FL; one step daughter, Teressa Rayes, Richmond, VA; one brother, Frank Smith, Lexington; one sister, Jean Eason, Lexington; four grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, O. T. Smith Jr., two sisters, Lois Allison and Lucille Adams. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 26, in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Jessamine County, with Richard Thompson officiating. Burial in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. There was no visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall in Bayou George, FL. Ransdell Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements. (HH Thu Sep 27, 2001)
