Banks, 71, South College Street, died Wednesday, August 1, 2001 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born March 11, 1930 in Indiana, he was the son of the late John L. and Ethel Anderson Banks, Sr. He was a retired Ohio taxi cab driver, a veteran of the US Navy and the US Air Force and a member of the American Legion, Post 52. Survivors include: two sons, Jerry and Donnie Banks. Memorial services were held Monday, August 6, at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County.
