Mayes estate dated Jan 18, 1858. It is from the Washington Co, KY Will Book K; #76-115-13. The cash disbursements in the amount of $58.85 each appear to be to the children of John G.Mayes. James (my ancestor) And S.T. Mayes (Stith?)were the executors. The names are: B. Mayes (Berry?) Amy C. Gravis (cosigned with Franklin Gravis) Mary Sweeny (cosigned with James Sweeny John G. Mayes (signed with X) S. T. Mayes (Stith, I believe) Joel Mayes William Mayes Grandison Mayes (Note spelling) The 1850 KY census records (I have a copy) show these Mayes folks as heads of households along with names of spouses & minors.
