Born in Clark County, he was the son of Irene Woodward Kelly of Harrodsburg and the late Charlie Thomas Estes. He was a retired HVAC self-employed contractor. He was a member of the Ruckerville Church of Christ, in Clark County, and an army veteran. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Kathy Zak Estes; three daughters, Latrisha Irene Estes, Lebanon, Sheena Estes and Tomi Lee Estes, Perryville; one step son, Christopher Watts, Lexington; one brother, Charlie Estes, Jr., South Florida; one sister, Kathy Ingram, Perryville. Memorial services were held Wednesday, September 12, at the Scobee Funeral Home in Winchester by Rev. Hilary Claypoole. (HH Thu Sep 13, 2001)
