Durr, 78, of 684 Beaumont Drive, died Tuesday, August 17, 2001 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born January 15, 1923 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Roy and Pearl Darland Durr. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Bohon Church of Christ and was an army veteran of World War II. Survivors include: two brothers, Philip Durr, Harrodsburg, and Hunter Durr, Liberty; one sister, Eunice Spoonamore, Madison, TN. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Durr, Jr. Funeral services were held Monday, August 20, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Howard Whitehouse and Frank Preston officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Terry Durr, John Durr, Richard Spoonamore, Joe Settles, Morris Durr and Jerry Burns. (HH Thu Aug 23, 2001)
