Born September 15, 1929 in Whitley, KY, he was the son of the late James Leslie and Lula Martin Freeman. He was a retired Head Operator for Corning glass and was a member of Claylick Methodist Church. He had served in the US Navy. Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Currens Freeman, Salvisa; one son, Michael (Elizabeth) Freeman, Frankfort; one daughter, Mary Gina (Russell) Johnson, Frankfort; three brothers, Raymond Freeman, Lawrenceburg, Donald Freeman, Lexington, Bob Freeman, Sunnyvale, CA; two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Delmar and G. B. Freeman, and one sister, Mildred Craig. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2001 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Ryan officiating. Burial will be in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ben Freeman, Bill Lyons, Jim Freeman, Dale Freeman, William Leonard Currens and Ricky Robinson. Honorary bearers will be nieces and nephews. Memorials are suggested to the Claylick Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society. Visitation at the chapel after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday and prior to service on Thursday. (HH Thu Sep 20, 2001)
