Born March 23, 1924 in Danville, he was the son of the late William D. Sr. and Hettie Wilson Wilder. He was a retired Georgia state employee, a member of Ellers Memorial Baptist Church and an army veteran of World War II. Survivors include: one daughter, Teri (Tom) Cox, Lexington; one son, John David Wilder, Lexington; one sister, Eliza (Claude) Freeman, Lebanon, OH; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Graveside services were held Wednesday, October 17, at Spring Hill Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Whitehouse officiating. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
