Born August 13, 1911 in Dover, CO, she was the daughter of the late Arthur P. and Hattie Lewis Sanders. She was the widow of Bennie Hume. She was a retired custodian and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include: two sons, Bennie Lee Hume, Harrodsburg, Jimmy (Norma) Hume, Russell Springs; two daughters, Mrs. Bobby (Alma) Wilham, Harrodsburg, Katherine Bowman, Graefenburg; one brother, Tommy Sanders, CA; two sisters, Mary Goodlett and Charlotte Smith, both of Harrodsburg; 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Virgil Hume. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 29, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with James Harley officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
