He was born November 30, 1945 in Harrodsburg, son of Charles L. and Ruby VanArsdale Fritts. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Somerset. A land surveyor and an Air Force veteran. Survivors include: his wife, Shirley Brooks Riley Fritts, Georgetown; one daughter, Robyn Allen, Somerset; one son, John Daniel Fritts, Ft. Myers, FL; one step son, Mike Riley, Georgetown; two step daughters, Kay Thompson and Gina Mullin, both of Georgetown; four sisters, Gene (Bob) Ramsey, Memphis, TN, Mary Connelly, Sparr, FL, Van Fritts, Frankfort, Susan Franklin, Lawrenceburg; 11 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 23, at the Tucker, Yocum and Wilson Funeral Home in Georgetown, with Bro. John Cravens officiating. Burial was in the Georgetown Cemetery with military rites. Pallbearers were Brian Franklin, Grant Franklin, Donald Thompson, Jay Brooks, Billy Mullin and Tony Childress. (HH Thu Oct 25, 2001)
