He was the son of the late Thomas J. and Anna Van Arsdale. He was retired from St. Elizabeth Medical Center as Director of Purchasing and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a US Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include: his wife, Janet Kenning Van Arsdale; one son, Denny P. (Patty) Van Arsdale; one daughter, Connie S. (Jason) Hill; one sister, Carol E. Kramer; three brothers, Wally and William Stine and Jerry Van Arsdale. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Withers, three brothers, George, James and Joseph Van Arasdale. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, August 28, at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. Tobias Funeral Home (Far Hills Chapel), was in charge of arrangements. (HH Thu Aug 30, 2001)
