Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born August 16, 1912 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Albert B. and Jesse Clay Hunn. He attended West Side School and worked as a dry cleaner for Model Laundry for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as deacon, church treasurer, trustee, senior choir, men’s choir and was a member of the Brotherhood. Survivors include: his wife, Marie Bryant Hunn, Harrodsburg; one son, Rev. Wendrell (Lena) Hunn Jr.; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Helen Hunn Laye, two brothers, Albert and Vernon Hunn, two sisters, Earline Bryant and Cora Hunn. Funeral services were held Monday, September 3, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Virgil Hill officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Randall and Truman Bartleson, Kenneth Jones, Chris Short, James Thurman, and Leon Vandyke, Jr. Parks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. (HH Thu Sep 6, 2001)
