Born June 13, 1908 in Pike County, IN, he was the son of the late Arthur and Bertha Cox Gilliland. He was the widower of Hazel Trusly. He was a retired Baptist minister and a member of Orange Lake Baptist Church. Survivors include: two sons, Robert Gilliland, Harrodsburg, Dalton Gilliland, Nashville; three sisters, Versie Hudson, Myrna Britton and Macie Marsh, all of Indiana; one grandchild, three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 12, at the Knauff Funeral Home, Williston, FL with John Hasick officiating. Burial was in Redick, FL. Memorials are suggested to the charity of one’s choice. Ransdell Funeral Chapel was in charge of local arrangements. (HH Thu Sep 13, 2001)
