Cornelius SMOCK was born in PA in 1772 (christened). He came to Mercer Co., KY with his parents, Barney and Antje (Cozine) SMOCK c1784 where they settled. He is found as an adult in court records of Mercer Co. and is found in Bullitt Co., KY with family in 1800. The marriage record of Cornelius has not been revealed, but I suspect that he was married in Mercer Co. or a county close by. Several of his brothers went to Indiana when that Territory was opened to settlement. Although there are several Cornelius SMOCKs listed in subsequent IN Censuses, none fit the age of Cornelius, b. 1772. Where he went from Bullitt Co., is being researched. There is a C.
