Witnesses were Thomas Brown and Daniel Baker. 1850 Mercer Co Ky census: James R. Ward 30 M farmer KY Polly Ward 38 F KY William ? Ward 7 M KY John W. Ward 5 M KY Amanda L? Ward 1 F KY Priscilla James 15 F KY Martha H? James 13 F KY If any of these names ring a bell, please let me know. I think that Daniel Baker may somehow tie in with Peter Baker, first husband of Isabella Veatch, daughter of Daniel Veatch, Jr. There seems to be a Brown-Ward connection in Mercer Co that has been eluding a few of us (Ward showing up in Brown households in the census', from abt 1850-1870).
