All, There is a Barney/Barent/Barnes SMOCK who signed a Letter to Congress as a member of the Low Dutch Company which was trying to establish a settlement in KY about 1784. Barney with young family settled in Mercer Co., KY. I wonder if he was among the signers of the Harrodsburg Petition.
