Your info before was a shot in the arm for me, and I appreciate your responding again. Yes, I've corresponded with Harry, and he was wonderfully patient with me. The Mercer records show George S. Ward marrying Easter Veace, and I suspected a mistranslation. Harry clarified that Easter was, indeed, Hester Veatch. He gave me another piece of information that keeps me interested in George as a father for my William-Hester's sister, Isabella, married Hamilton Gritton in 1833. Hamilton was the brother of two of William's wives, Margaret Gritton and Millian Jane Gritton. So, another connection. I think that the progression goes: George S. Ward m. Hester Veatch they had: George Ward, Jr. Merritt Ward William H. Ward Mary Ward Jeptha Ward (?) George Ward, Jr. married Hannah Veatch, they had: George Ward Harvey Clark Ward Alexander Ward Does this sound right to you? When did your Harvey die?
