    3. Those pictures of the caves are great, but I am unclear on whether you are speaking about Daniel Boone or his brother Squire. In the book by Fred Conway about Squire Boone "The Incredible Adventures of Daniel Boone's Kid Brother - SQUIRE" published IN 1992, second edition 1994; pages 61-80 speaks of the cave where Squire hid from Indians and he considered it Holy Ground because he felt his life was spared because of the cave. He asked to be buried in the cave, and his sons complied. Page 80 says, "This cavern may be seen today on an Indiana hillside two to three miles north of Brandenburg Kentucky. The last years of his life (1804-1815) were spent near Corydon, Indiana, later known as Squire Boone Village. The cave was near there. I do not know if ;your photo is of that cave but it could be. They tell the story that Squire had always wanted to prove live after death. He asked his sons to bury him in the cave, and then to wait at the mouth of the cavern for several hours to see if he was able to contact them. They waited, but no communication occurred. Hope this helps, Carolyn Remember you have a friend in Oklahoma -- endlessly sorting out dead relatives!
