Here's what I know about her: She was born Dec 25, 1800 in Kentucky Dorcas married Daniel McAninch in Mercer Cty, Kentucky on Jan 8, 1822, George Burks certified she was 21 as the bond for her marriage In 1828 Dorcas & Daniel moved to the Mill Creek area along the county line between Putnam County and Hendricks County, Indiana. Children of Dorcas & Daniel: William A McAninch born 1822 ?Mercer Cty, Kentucky Daniel Harris McAninch born 1824 ?Mercer Cty, Kentucky Louisa McAninch born 1827 Kentucky Samuel McAninch born 1830 Indiana George B McAninch born 1834 Indiana Louvica McAninch born 1838 Indiana Loutisha McAninch born 1841Indiana Dorcas' daughter Louisa married Joseph Thomas Piercy and lived in Putnam Cty, Indiana The son of Delila Burks (dtr of Allen James Burks, Sr of Mercer Cty) - Harvey Denny - married Amanda Lavica Piercy, who was a sister to Joseph Thomas Piercy. (I'm convinced there is some relationship between Delila & Dorcas) Nov 27, 1881 Dorcas died and was buried in Stilesville Cemetery, Hendricks Cty, Indiana Since George Burks provided the bond for her marriage, I had hoped George & Rhoda Burks of Mercer Cty were her parents. But there is no mention of Dorcas in George's will.
