Diedre, I have Pg. 123 of Gaines Tax list for Casey Co. KY, 1814. There was a Lindsey Wright. Don't know if he might fit in with your Obadiah somewhere. There was also an Averilla WRITE. Several pages of documents I received from Harrodsburg-Mercer Historical Research Library shows different spelling variations for same people. One time they will show has Hutchings, the next as Hutchison--or Hewenton then Howenton/Howerton. Casey formed from Lincoln Co. abt. end of 1806, and Mercer formed. Lindsey shows as the only person (whites over 21) and had one horse. Total value was $30.00. Ha, this is funny. The column for Total value has this: (except stud horses, jack asses and billiard tables). Had no idea they had billiard tables in 1814!! Shari
