Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gBB.2ACI/3206.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Sandra, Do you have a brother or an uncle or a male cousin whose last name is Phillips? I have two male Phillips cousins who have joined the Phillips Worldwide DNA project at familytreedna.com. Their DNA matches exactly, although they are only very distantly related (7th cousins). If you have a brother or uncle or cousin who would agree to have his DNA tested, we could establish whether my Zachariah Phillips of Amherst County VA was related to your Jeremiah Phillips of Amherst County VA. There was a man named Glenn W. Phillips who posted several messages five or six years ago who indicated that he thought Zachariah and Jeremiah were related. I have been trying to find Glenn with no success. Nancy PS - can you give me the names of all the children of your William Phillips (the son of Jeremiah) and the name of William's wife?

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gBB.2ACI/3206.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: The Dabner Phillips listed on the 1810 Mercer County census could possibly be a brother or cousin of Jeremiah Phillips. Four children were listed in Jeremiah's will in 1805, George, William, Catherine and Polly. My Richard Dabney Phillips was born in 1820. It was interesting to note that you said "Dabner" as we always heard my grandfather's name was Richard Dabner Phillips and after starting this project I decided it must have been Richard "Dabney" ... he always went by R.D. and my father wasn't sure which it was. If you find how these 2 families are connected I would love to know. Early in my search I thought this was one line and I found some interesting stuff on the Dabner that left KY in the 1830s and moved to MO.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gBB.2ACI/3206.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Thanks for that info, Sandra. I assume that your Dabney Phillips is not the same person as the "Dabner" Phillips who appears on the 1810 census in Mercer County, KY as a 26-45 year old male. Do you know if your Dabney was related to Dabner? The name Dabney was popular as a first name with another Phillips family that lived in Amherst County, VA.

It does look like we have some type of connection here. Although I'm sorry to say on my Munday line, I had a computer crash several years back, and hadn't fully recovered from it. In the crash it left all my people, but caused me to lose my links, in other words...I do have Catherine "Kitty" Munday b. 22 Jul 1800 in my database but I lost the link to her folks, siblings and husband, although they maybe still in my database I lost the links. I do have a John Hayes in my database and prob the same John Hays you mention, although I don't know this for sure. Would you have a birth date on him? The birthdate I have for my John Hayes is: b. abt. 1796 Mercer County, Kentucky. Now on my Elizabeth Munday, I have 3 in my database, so unsure which one is her sister. If I was guessing I would say the first one mentioned here. Number 3 here is not likely at all due to the dates, but Here are the 3 I have: Elizabeth b. abt. 1767 Elizabeth b. abt. 1815 Elizabeth 1845-1992 Would you have an outline of your family tree, this could help me put my line back together, since I did not keep paper copy of it...big mistake. Thanks for your help. Jodie

Do any of these people connect with people in your records?

Sorry about that. Here is some more info not sure if you have or not: By 1810, William Waddell has died, and the Family has moved to Mercer Co. Kentucky. On Nov. 4,1810, the boys have a step father, Cornelius Demaree. The boys will loose thier Mother within the next few years. Cornelius Demaree's Family came to America prior to 1675. Cornelius G.G.G. Grandfather was Lord Desmaret of Cambray France. The Family escaped religious persecution in France by moveing to the Rhine river, then to the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam in 1663. They later moved to Hackensack New Jersey. I have found that the Gilkeson Family and Demaree family belonged to the Dutch Reformed church of Schraalenburgh. I would guess that the Waddle's also belonged to this church. I found the families moved together, first from Va. then to Mercer Co. Kentucky, and then to Park Co. Indiana. Hope this helps...Jodie
