Born January 29, 1964 in Louisville, she was the daughter of Sara Davis Hellard, Versailles, and the late Richard G. Weisenberger. She attended Williams College where she earned a BA in English and Wheelock college in Boston, where she earned a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. She co-founded Room for Children, a child development center in Boston, MA and was a member of the Orinda Junior Women’s Club. She attended St. Stephens’s Episcopal Church in Orinda, CA. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include: her husband, Steve Cassriel; one daughter, Haley; two sons, Henry and Will, all of Orinda, CA; her mother and step father, Sara and George Hellard, Versailles, one sister, Paige Weisenberger (Joe) McClellan, Houston, TX; one brother, Clay Weisenberger; her step-mother Phyllis L. Weisenberger, both of Mayfield. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 18, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Versailles. Memorial contributions may be sent to Friends of the Orinda Library, Cameron Cassriel Endowment, PO Box 152, Orinda, CA 94563, or to the Cameron Cassriel Cancer Fund at Mills-Peninsula Hospital Foundation, 1783 El Camino Real, Burlingame, CA 94010. He was a self-employed finishing carpenter and a member of the Perryville United Methodist Church. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Robin Hafley Voris, Perryville; one daughter, Alana Robinson, London; one son, Lee Voris, London; three brothers, Harvey and Dale Voris, both of Harrodsburg and Mike Voris, Lexington, one grandchild. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 8, at the Perryville United Methodist Church with Rev. Jimmy Owens and Gerald Gaddis officiating. Pallbearers were Zack and Josh Hafley, Drew Reynolds, Stephen and Joey Lester and Vance Webb. Honorary bearer was Danny Cooper. Wilder Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She was a homemaker, member of the St. Paul Predestinarian Baptist Church and a member of the St. Paul Women’s Club. Survivors include: three daughters, Penny (Davey) Logan, Midge (William) Ison, and Beatrice Perkins, all of Lancaster; four sons, Paul (Margaret) VanDyke, Curt Ison, Butch Ison, all of Lancaster, and Melvin (Liz) Ison of Harrodsburg; one brother, Anderson Ison, Lancaster; two brothers-in-law, Allen (Jackie) VanDyke, San Jose, CA, and Jean (Audrey) VanDyke, Seattle, WA; seven sisters-in-law, Jeanette Ison, Lancaster, Lilly Berry, Gloria Bowman, Dessie Brown, Mary Owens, Geneva Penman, Arnetta Bottoms, all of Harrodsburg. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 4, at St. Paul Predestinarian Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Bowman officiating. Burial was in Lancaster (Duncantown) Cemetery. Pallbearers were Cedric Leavell, Brunell West, Simon Norris, Cecil Dunn, James Franklin Warren and Taylor Leavel.
