Springate of Danville; a brother, Maurice Dean of Mercer County; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Eudora) Sutherland of Harrodsburg, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Francis Springate. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home. Survivors include: one son, Charles Robert (Tillie) Doss, Salvisa; two daughters, Lola Neal Baxter, Lawrenceburg, and Joyce Ann (Clayton) Dale, Frankfort; two brothers, Alvin Denton, Louisville, Duard Denton, Frankfort; one sister, Hazel Casey, Frankfort; one half brother, John Denton, Lawrenceburg; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Funeral services were held Friday, September 14, at Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg with Bro. Don West officiating. Sallee, 78, of East Jordan, MI, died Monday, September 10, 2001 at his home. Born May 25, 1923 in Rose Hill, he was the son of the late Herman and Stella Taylor Sallee. He was a former Asphlund Tree Services employee, where he worked as a tree trimmer for 20 years and was a former employee of East Jordan Iron Works. Survivors include: one son, Terry Sallee, Williamsburg, MI; two daughters, Donna (Dan) Russell, Charlevoix, MI, Judy (Pat) Muma, East Jordan, MI; two step children, Kenneth (Cathy) Downey, Mishawaka, IN, Vivian (Doug) Densel of East Jordan, MI; one step daughter-in-law, Charlotte Downey, East Jordan, MI; one sister, Wanda (LeRoy) Banta, Pleasureville; one brother, Paul Sallee, LaGrange, IN; 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three step children, Jack Downey, Linda Brilley and Jim Downey, and one brother, Camillus Sallee. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, at the Hastings Funeral Home in Ellsworth, MI with Rev. Dale Collision officiating. A funeral services will also be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 15, at the Battle Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Battle Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Thursday, until the time of service at the funeral home in Michigan. Alexander and Royalty Funeral home is in charge of local arrangements. (HH Thu Sep 13, 2001)
