Do you have a new address for Faye Sea Sanders? She has done THE Washington County KY compilations, and I have some cousins who want a price list. I gave them this address [email protected] but got a message back that the address had a permanent fatal error. Would you please recheck the address for me? Sincerely, Jane Champion Norman

My gr-gr-gr-grandparents, Ann PATTERSON and George CRUTCHFIELD married in Mercer Co., KY on July 31, 1793. The brides mother (on the marriage bond) was given as Elizabeth PATTERSON. The Bondsman was James PATTERSON. (Was James her father or maybe a brother?) Ann & George moved to Harrison Co., Indiana. They had 9 children and my line descends from their eldest son, James CRUTCHFIELD, born in Kentucky on Sep 7, 1796. He married Catherine GREGORY, daughter of William GREGORY Jr., on Mar 3, 1819 in Harrison Co., IN. James & Catherine moved to Des Moines County, IA by 1836. If anyone is connected to this PATTERSON family in Mercer County, KY, and would like to correspond, I would be happy to hear from you.

Her Andrew is the one buried in the Carpenter Cemetery in Perryville, Ky May 26 1780 - Dec 8 1856 We believe his son to be Jesse T. (J.T.) Jan 27 1824 - Feb 18 1902..it is possible Jesse was a nickname for James..most info collected is only using JT his son was William Ellery Bradley and his son was Guy Lee Bradley and his son was Herbert Lee Bradley his daughter is Terah Lea Bradley I understand that it is possible Andrew Sr. probable father of the above Andrew had 2 marriages. Besides Ruth Loyd do you know of the first? He also had a land grant in 1785 in Montgomery Co., Va for 295 acres in the head waters of the west fork of Little River. Any help will be appreciated. Hello List, >From visiting the Historical Society in Harodsburg and Frankfort, I have confirmed that there is no cemetery listing for Ann M. Lear. I just finished reading serval old family letters that stated that she resided at Mundays Landing, Mercer side, even though no census state that. She was about 87, about 1910. Would there be a possibility she could be in a cemetery not with the listings because it was Mundys Landing. I have already searched Woodford Co. Thanks, Marshall Drury [email protected]

Hi, I'm doing research on my TURPIN line and I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me find more info on them. I desc. from Hugh TURPIN b. 19 Sep 1775 m. Elizbeth ISON 23 Mar 1795 Mercer Co.KY. Hugh died in Garrard Co.KY bef Nov 1825...later Elizabeth and most of their children migrated to Sangamon Co.IL, with the exception of their son [my direct line] James b.ca1798 KY....he and his family [Elizabeth NEWTON] migrated to Greene Co.IN along with some other ISON/HOARD family members. I've rec'd information from several sources that would indicate that my Hugh TURPIN is the son of Thomas TURPIN b. 1720 and Averilla LEWIS. I would really like to be able to obtain more info on them and their family. I do have a list of them having 8 children, but I've seen other listings which include more than 8 children?? I've also had information that would possibly connect my Hugh to a Hugh from either SC or NC? If anyone has any info that would shed some light on this I would welcome it! I would appreciate anything on either of these TURPIN families, to better help me in figuring out exactly who Hugh b. 1775 was the son of. Thanks so much, N.J.Skinner White in MI [email protected]

Hello I would appreciate any information on where I can get a death record for 1907, in Kentucky? Thanks, Barb in IL Searching: Allgood, Goode, Fulton, Sage, Walker
To get married in the earlier period of the colonies and United States, the principles who wanted to get married were required to post a bond to ensure the marriage took plage. I know in Tennessee, it was $1250.00 and later $1500.00. If the marriage took place the bond was returned. If the marriage did not take place the bond was forfeit. Quite often, relatives would pay the bond and give consent to the marriage. Most of the Mercer Co., KY marriage records have been either filmed or available on book from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. I went to the University of Louisville and looked at their pictures (Ford) and around 1900 are pictures of the JTS Brown Distillery located in Mercer County!
