    3. Thank you Sharon for the info on the Crabtrees. I wonder how come it doesn't show Absolom and Jane in 1850? Can't seem to find them anywhere. They were married in 1845 so they should be in the 1850 census. Thanks anyway. He married Elizabeth about 1820. he is listed in the 1830 and 1840 census' of Campbell County. The 1850 Census lists him in Scott County. about 1855 he moved to Wayne County, KY., his occupation was as a gunsmith/blacksmith. His children were James, William, Margaret (according to census of 1830 1840 1850 he had four sons and two daughters). In 1848 records show that Jesse gave 50 acres of land to his son James (Located in the 13th district of Campbell County on the Rock House fork of Buffalo and the East For of New River.) James Married 1.) Elizabeth Smith on April 26 1850. They are listed in the 1850 census of Scott County their children were: Mary m. Fredrick Trammel; William m Melvina Trammell (a sister to Fredrick Trammell; Margaret m Henry Adkins; John m Nancy Macu, Richard m Amanda Emmaline Shelton, Absulam marred Sarah E. Freels. James Married 2.) Bethany Claxton in Campbell County on June 1 1865. They had no children." ...."Jesse Crabtree was rumored to have been a friend to the James Brothers, Frank and Jesse. He was a farmer, blacksmith and was said to have been a fine counterfeiter.... ..."ancestors came to Scott County from England by way of VA., KY and the Fentress County and finally into Scott County..."
