    3. Yes that happened yesterday, but I have not heard what happened to them, all I know is that they were from Michigan, and were abandoned by their mother. The local police picked them up and transported them to social services and saw they were fed. I was asking because I read in the McCreary County Voice online where they found 12 abandon children age 2 weeks to early teens. My Mom couldn't place where Little Rock Creek/ Jellico Creek was at. She knows where Rock Creek is because her family lived at Bell Farm and it ran at the back of the property. 3. The parents of Richard O. Smith were Ambrose Newton and Emma Minton Smith. They had two sons George Dewey or Duie Smith and Richard Olnie Smith. She had been married previously and had a son with Richard Dugger. Their son was Albert Dugger born 1891. Emma Minton Smith died in 1913 and Ambrose Newton "Newt" Smith married Tiny Belle last name unknown and they had two daughters that I know of, Pauline and Jewel. Newt died 1934 in McCreary county and is buried in Stearns. Olnie signed the death certificate showing his address as Stearns, KY. Hope this sound familiar to someone. 3. Could anyone help me with this family? I need to get in touch with any descendent that is still in the County. Newton Ambrose Smith b. 1868 in Pulaski CO, KY married Emma Minton on March 27, 1896 in Pulaski CO, KY. They had two children: George Dewey Smith born 1899-1900 in Pulaski County and Richard Olnie Smith born about 1904 Pulaski County. George went by the name of "Dewey" and I believe he was still in Pulaski County in 1930 working for the Gulf Refining Company. Emma Minton died in 1913. She had been married before to Richard Dugger and they had a son Albert Dugger 3/1891 in Pulaski Co, KY She was the daughter of Richard and Annie Minton of the Bunscombe area. They are buried in Mt. Gilead Cemetery Pulaski CO. If anyone on this list is related please get in touch with me or if you have information. I am in the process of getting the tombstones repaired and perhaps they do not know what has happened to Emma's tombstone. I have asked the owner of the cemetery to set them upright again and and he has done that but, he believes that no one cares. I live in Texas but have been going to Pulaski County for the last three years. It is not a matter of money but rather that someone cares. Please if anyone can help, it will be greatly appreciated. PS Newt as he was called remarried and moved to McCreary CO, KY, Stearns, He was there in 1930, I would like to hear from any of his descendents. Richard O. Smith was in McCreary County unmarried age 26 in 1930. Thanks Erlyne Sherrill floyesherrill@rgv.rr.com
