I have a Martha A. Jones died 30 Jan 1901@ Oaks, McCracken County,Kentucky. Her children under the age of 16 at the time of Martha's death are Dora and Cordelia. Her step daughter Sarah A. Jones Housapple has the minor children living with her. This is a general affidavit for a Civil War Pension that Martha was receiving since the death of her husband Elijah L. Jones who died in Lyon County. It also states that Sarah's Post Office address is Ballance, Graves County, KY. The guardian of minor children is R.N. Allcock. There is 2 older sons of Martha, Stephen and Woodson Jones. Stephen Jones gives an affidavit. It states he is 19 and that his mother Martha Jones died at Oaks, McCracken County. He states he and his sisters are living with his brother. Does anyone have any info on this family? Is Ballance, Graves County, close to Oaks, McCracken County? Thank you for your time.
