My friends - Today, I want to begin posting the known burials in the cemetery which served the McCracken County Poor House and Sanitarium. Not everyone who died and who is buried in this cemetery resided in one of the two places, but may have died in such financial circumstances that the county had to arrange for burial. Most of these records contain the name of the deceased, the date of death, where died, sometimes where born, and, in some cases, the age or year of birth of the deceased, along with the cause of death. Also recorded, in most cases, was the lot and block number in which the burial occurred. In the listing below, I have included all of the pertinent statistical information. If anyone should need the burial lot and block number, contact me off list and I will check the film to see if it is shown. We will continue this series as we go along. -B ================================================================== McCracken County - Poor House & County Sanitarium Cemetery - Part 1 (AA)=African-American Johnson, Mose(AA), died 20 October 1908; born 1853 in TN Wright, Hettie(AA), died 12 Dec 1908, age 25 Anderson, Bailey, died 12 July 1906; Stillborn James, S.W., died 20 July 1909 at Riverside Hospital, Paducah.
