    1. [KYMCCRAC] William Collins Kentucky to Illinois
    2. Jo Pace
    3. I am researching the family of WILLIAM COLLINS, born about 1828 in Tennessee. His sister, ELIZABETH REBECCA COLLINS, born about 1819 also in Tennessee, was my gg grandmother. ELIZABETH was married to JACOB VONDACH (FONDAW) and she died in 1857 in McCracken County, Kentucky. I would like to know the father of these two, William and Elizabeth. I do know their mothers name was MARY and in 1842 she married for the second time JEREMIAH ELROD in McCracken County. In 1860 census for Massac County, Illinois, I found WILLIAM COLLINS age 34 with his wife Hannah age 33. Next door to WILLIAM is his mother MARY ELLROD (ELROD) with some of William's other siblings, James, age 26?, Saphrona, age 21 and Barbara C. Elrod, age 14. I noticed all the women had the occupation of seamstress on this census. I wonder what was in Massac that employed so many seamstresses? I did find a marriage record for WILLIAM COLLINS in Massac County September 22, 1853. His wife's name was HANNAH DYE. In the 1850 census for McCracken County Kentucky, Hannah Dye is a neighbor to William Collins. I have been unable to establish who William's father is since his father died in the 1830's. I also cannot find any of this COLLINS family after 1860 census. I would like to know what happened to all these people after 1860? Where did they migrate to next? Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated and I am willing to share any info that I have. Jo Pace, Denver, Colorado JoPace46@comcast.net Scanned by Norton Antivirus Firewall by Zone Alarm Pro 4
