    1. [KYMCCRAC] An Addendum - McCracken Co. - 1850 Census - Tennesseans By Birth
    2. Bill Utterback
    3. My friends - In reviewing the McCracken 1850 Census file showing parties who claimed Tennessee as their birthplace, which I offered a day or two ago, I was struck by the low number of people that seemed to be shown, and there were people missing from that file whom I knew to be born in TN and living in McCracken County in 1850. As a result, I did some additional digging in these old miscellaneous files, and found that there was an additional part to this file which was on another old floppy and escaped my attention. This part contains the remainder of the file containing the individuals showing TN as their birthplace in the McCracken 1850 census. I have converted it and it is now ready for distribution. I apologize for this extra step in this particular case, but for those who requested the file and did not find someone who was born in TN, and was expected to be present in that census, they may find their party in this other part. The surnames in this addendum, as I will call it, include Kinnard, Singleton, Nolen, Hamilton, Fisher, Spranger, Roberts, Joyce, Gardiner, Boone, Wallace, Luster, Pool, Noblett, Wilson, Burks, Harris, Crogin, Culter, Saunders, Etter, Wood, Boyd, Willis, Rogers, Donnell, Lefler, DonCarlos, Thedford, McGee, Marsh, Porter, Lane, Taylor, Stone, Neves, Lovelan, Catahorn, Chandler, Lumis, Anderson, Cavat, Pursell, Key, Cheek, McKee, Caldwell, Williamson, Stephenson, Walker, Johnson, McCalla, McIntyre, Eaton, Iniss, McBride, Potas, Batts, Franklin, Bramon, Price, Travis, Bledsoe, Mason, Hutchins, Funch, Allen, Tunnage, Moss, St.John, Boneiu, Riggs, Mills, Lunch, Keith, Smith, Littell, Peters, Frysia, McFall, Croft, Cole, Ogilone, Fisk, Adkins, Fuller, Willingham, Middleton, Grose, James, Hambury, Lawson, Craft, Hamilton, Burleson, Ballard, Samuel, Violet, Steel, Yarber, Stamps, Buck, Forbush, Mayhew, Crofton, Richardson, Thornburg, Hallowell, Jones, Sherman, David, Alsop, Crabtree, Nelson, Agnew, Pitt, Perryman, Grimes and Brooks. Subscribers to the McCracken and JP lists can get this file by sending a request to me, specifying the "McCracken TN Addendum" file. The file is available in rich text and Adobe PDF formats. The file will be sent as a rich text attachment to an e-mail message unless PDF is specified. The file is not available in plain text format, nor can it be sent in the body of an e-mail message. The complete file will be sent, as time constraints do not allow me to go into the file and extract material about individuals. On another subject, I received, to now, only 31 expressions of interest in the Sue Munday article written by Young Allison, from our subscribership of 700+, which seems indicative of a low level of interest in that material. I will put the conversion of that item on the "back burner", and will move forward with other items directly related to the JP. I will get the Munday material converted at some point in the process as we go along. -B ===================================================================
