My friends - Today's post moves us to McCracken County, as we continue our review of the Vital Statistics marriage records for that county in the 1852-1859 and 1874-1878 time frame, with a few in the 1890's. McCracken kept some vital statistics records beyond the norm in the 19th century, and as a result, we do have a few in the 1890's and in the 1903-1904 time frame for that county. They are not, by any means, complete, nor should the accuracy be considered infallible, especially in the mid-19th century items, as we know that these records are woefully incomplete and often inaccurate. Subscribers to the JP and McCracken lists can obtain the full dataset for a marriage shown in the listing below by sending a request to me with the names of the groom and bride for which the dataset is needed. These datasets usually include the age of bride and room, the date of the marriage, and the birthplace of each party. Consents and bonds are not a part of these vital statistics records.
