My friends - Today, as we continue with "miscellaneous file" offerings, we are moving back to McCracken County. The file for today is one in the 1850 census "Tennesseans By Birth" series, which shows those people living in McCracken County in 1850 who claimed Tennessee as their birth state in that census. The file shows the number of the household, the names of the people in the household who claimed Tennessee as their birth state, the age of the individual and the gender of each individual. Surnames included in this file include Porter, Whitworth, Rudolph, Gholson, Francis, Williams, Boswell, Johnson, Bunch, Titsworth, Hughes, Scott, Hutchinson, Harris, Jett, Clymer, Lockridge, Newman, Atchison, Wilkins, Hill, Hinton, Kent, Smith, Morrow, Rose, Futrill, Jones, Austin, Russell, King, Dossett, Counsil, McLaddin, Dil, Hobbs, Lowry, Hall, Howell, Byrd, Nelson, Boyd, Wassy, Allen, Pace, Cornwell, Guest, Grey, McNeal, Arnol, Lynn, Gore, Reed, Minitree, Ham, Wyatt, Plumlee, Keef, Noneel, Brasher, Morrison, Roark, Blenden, Vandergriff, Odel, Dacterman, Canada, Quarles, and Morgan. Subscribers to the JP and McCracken lists can obtain this file by sending a request to me, specifying the "McCracken TN File". The file is available in rich text and Adobe PDF formats. It will be sent as a rich text attachment to an e-mail message unless PDF is specified. The file is not available in plain text format and cannot be sent in the body of an e-mail message. The complete file will be furnished, as time constraints do not allow me to go into the file and extract data about individuals. Tomorrow, we will look at another bio of a member of the JP judiciary. -B =====================================================================
