This is a quick note to say that the expression of interest in the Marshall County and McCracken County maps did reach the minimum quantity to allow me to go ahead with the preparation of duplicating masters, and then reproduction copies, for these maps, and I should have them in hand by Monday. I believe I have contacted everyone by private e-mail who expressed interest in one, or both, maps. Those who desired a Calloway map, but postponed getting one until the Marshall and/or McCracken map(s) were ready, can now get both, or all three, sent in a single mailing tube. If I missed anyone, or there are questions, please contact me off-list. I have had quite a number of questions from subscribers concerning maps for other counties in the JP, and especially Graves County. I now believe that I very likely do have maps in this same series for most or all of the other JP counties, but I will not be certain about it until I finish inventorying my storage vault, which I hope to do by the end of September. I will keep the lists posted on what I find. I admit to a bit of embarrassment in not being able to simply say, from memory, what I have or do not have, but I have been collecting genealogical odds and ends for the JP region for nearly 40 years, and the fireproof vault in which I store a part of it contains about seven 4-drawer file cabinets, three 4-drawer lateral files, about 50+ file boxes, and various other containers with materials in them(and I have an almost equal number of filing cabinets here in my home, as well). I do not work with all of these materials all of the time, and, as a result, I have to refresh my memory of what is present in storage every few years. I will return with a posting to the JP List shortly. -B =====================================================================
