    3. Paducah's earliest cemetery was at 4th Street between Washington and Clark when the city acquired Oak Grove Cemetery in 1847 remains were removed from the 4th street area to Oak Grove, (however when the new city hall was built around 1964 they uncovered some bones). The Oak Grove section had been used 10 years prior to the city buying it. There are 6 volumes of McCracken County Cemetery Records. Most of the cemeteries have been copied, there are some small family ones that weren't found when they were being copied. Only part of Oak Grove has been done. All six of these can be ordered from Don Simmons. I checked for Dr. Andrew J. Watson and could find nothing on him in any of the cemetery books. The only thing I found was in "Oak Grove Cemetery Vol. 6" Unmarked Graves. 1811-1979 There is an Unknown Watson date of death 1800's, age ?, in old addition. Section N Lot 161.
