When doing research that involves deeds, one often comes across land descriptions such as "northeast quadrant of Section 8, Township 6, Range 1 East". The Kentucky Secretary of State office has put online a copy of the 1885 Loughridge Geological map of the Jackson Purchase. You can search by range and township numbers or by place name.
