    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/WBB.2ACI/3013.1 Message Board Post: What is the reason for posting on a Kentucky bulletin board? Those folks were born in Mexico. I notice that some of the other Hickcox around them say that they were born in OH, IL, or TX though. George M. is near Frank and he is 39 and born in OH. 1920 United States Federal Census > Arizona > Cochise > Douglas Ward 3 > District 22 Enumerated Jan 7, 1920 838 7th St. 200 201 Frank Hickcox, head, 66, Arizona, speaks Spanish, Mexico, Mexico Hernando, son, 12, Mexico (Arizona), Mexico, Mexico Oscar, son, 12, Mexico (Arizona), Mexico, Mexico Mary, daughter, Mexico (Arizona), Mexico, Mexico Angelia, wife, 43, Mexico, Mexico, Mexico Arizona was the 48th state in the USA; it became a state on February 14, 1912. So I would be careful with state and federal boundaries while trying to work my way back from the 1920 census. I assumed you have this already, so I won't type it all out: 1930 United States Federal Census > Arizona > Cochise > Douglas > District 27 838 7th St. 317 240 Hickox, Frank, Mex, 77, married, 52, Ohio, Connecticut, Vermont Angela, Mex, 52, married, 27, Mexico (city), CA, CA, Immigration year of 1916 (crossed out) Oscar, 22, Mexico (city), Ohio, Mexico (city), Mary, 20, Mexico (city), Ohio, Mexico (city), There are several possibilities for Frank in the 1870 and 1880 census. I would try to get his AZ death cert and see if it names his parents.
