Hi List, I am a descendant of Samuel and Nancy(Watson)STRODE. Samuel b. 1754 d.1842 Mason Co. KY. married : 1789 Bourbon Co. KY. Nancy (Watson) b.1769 d.1822 Mason Co. KY. This is the Samuel STRODE who established Strode's Station?? I am also wondering about a STRODE burial grounds (cemetery) in Mason Co. KY. Would anyone have pictures of this cemetery they would be willing to share? And is it on a private property and old family farm? Just trying to establish a location. There have been several past posts on this mailing list from other researchers on this STRODE family ,I have read thru those I am wondering if there are any of them still actively searching who are willing to share information on Samuel and Nancy (Watson) STRODE or any of their children..? One post mention that Samuel and Nancy had 15 children I only have 11 listed.. Hi Tina, Am wondering how far up you have researched your Strode family. My father married Anna Elizabeth Strode March 16, 1927 in Maysville, Mason Co. They divorced about 3 years later, have not gotten to search in Maysville for the divorce. The big surprise here was that Elizabeth was pregant at the time of the seperation and did not know it or did not tell my father. We learned of the child when she was 21 and came to our house to find her dad. I was in the first grade and it was Christmas time. I remember it so well this many years later. Elizabeth named her daughter Elizabeth and she went by Betty when we met her. That is the only time I ever saw Betty but have often wondered about her. A few years ago I asked another half sister (my mother's child by her first husband) if she knew anything about Betty and she said yes that she and my dad had visited her several times over the years in Cincinnati Ohio. She could not remember Betty's married name. Elizabeth's parents were Frank M. (Aug 1874-March 19, 1960) and Ella P. Warder (Aug. 1879-May 18, 1969) Strode. Both were born in Kentucky, both died in Fleming Co. Kentucky.
