Someone from Adams County would probably be a lot more helpful to you. Although there is a hospital in Adams County, at West Union, the two large regional hospitals nearby are Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio, and Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Ky. Hamilton County would probably be of no use to you unless Mr. McCarty's death was under unusual circumstances, in which case his body would have been sent to the Hamilton County Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy. By the way, McCarty, is a surname with a long association with Adams County. I have a cousin who married a McCarty from Adams County. Just as a side note, Billy the Kid, aka William H.
