Edgington. John was born about 1850 - 1860. I believe he married an Evans. Any information about this family would be very helpful. I know John went to school in Mason County around 1865. There have been Edgingtons in Mason County for as far back as I can remember. I went to school with Julie and Cindy Edgington at Maysville First District Elementary School (long since defunct). I think Julie would be about 48, now, and Cindy about 45. I believe Cindy still lives in the Maysville, KY/Aberdeen, OH area. Their father, "Popeye" Edgington occasionally worked for my Dad, who was in the taxicab business. Also I remember a Captain Edgington, a retired river tug pilot. My Dad was born in 1907, and Capt. Edgington seemed ancient compared to him, probably 20-30 years older, I'd say born about 1880 or so. Seems to me there was a feature article in the Maysville newspaper about him, probably in the late 1960s or early 70s.
