However, there is this mention in the court records (pg 181): Page 4 - September Court, 1832 Abraham Williams produced his declaration with the depostition of George Briarly attached and the certificates of Walker Reid and Conquest W. Owens attached thereto, which were sworn to in the opinion that he said Abraham Williams was a Revolutionary officer and served as he stated. And George Briarly, Walker Reid and Conquest W(yatt) Owens are credible persons, and their statements are entitled to credit. Abraham williams, born 1747 Baltimore (now Harford) county, Maryland; served as 2nd Lieut. 1776 under Capt. Benjamin Amos. See: Pension Claim: "Maryland Survivor." Page 4 - September Court, 1832 George Brierly (Briarly) produced his declaration with deposition of Abraham Williams and the certificate of Thomas Mountjoy and George Mefford attached thereto.... George Brierly, born 1757; died Bracken county, Kentucky, 9-30-1833; enlisted from Harford county, Maryland, and served under Capt. Benj. Amos and Second Lieutenant Abraham Williams.
