I'm researching Hickmans and Clinkenbeards that were in Mason County in the early 1800's. William Hickman was born 21 Oct 1825 in Mason Co. His wife Rovina Clinnkenbeard was born 1832, somewhere in KY. Am looking for parents of William Hickman and more information about Rovina, whose parents were Isaac McClelland Clinkenbeard and Ivea Joss Allen. Anyone heard of these people? Just glancing at the online resources on the Mason Co. genealogy website, there's quite a few hits for Hickman. For example there's a Thomas Hickman who married a Rachel Jenkins 28 October 1799. There's also a John Hickman who was acting as the bondsman for another marriage. Have you looked for a will for either of those gentlemen?
