This is proved by the will of Prudence's father in 1850 where Harrison states that Prudence was his mother. He was claiming an inheritance since Prudence was deceased and the money went to the children. Prudence married a Leban Ellis when Harrison was a young boy. She moved to Illinois and some of her children by that marriage moved to Iowa. The James you refer to born in 1805 would have been 15 years old when Harrison was born. Do you know the relation between Prudence Wallingford and James Wallingford. Leban Ellis was the first marriage for Prudence. A letter that I have states that Harrison's father died shortly after his birth.
