A Calendar of the Warrants for Land in Kentucky, Granted for Service in the French & Indian War. The information contained in this book was excerpted from The Yearbook of the Society Colonial Wars in the Commonwealth of KY, 1917. Original pagination remains unchanged since the index is keyed to those numbers. I have a copy of 1790 Census of KY. It has a map of KY Counties in 1792. Much different than Counties today. Beginning on left [western end] of KY.; lower end was called Jackson Purchase acquired in 1818. All across the bottom on KY was Lincoln Co. Center above Lincoln Co was Nelson Co. The right end [ Eastern ]was more populated in 1792.above right end of Nelson Co was Jefferson County. to the immediate right of Jefferson Co was Woodford Co, then Bourbon County, then Mason County - these were at top of state on eastern end of KY Below Woodford County was Mercer Co on west side and Fayette Co on eastern side. Below Fayette Co was Madison Co Between Madison Co and Mason Co was Bourbon County. I am not good with maps but if you pencil out what I have typed, it will make more sense...I hope. Seems like the acreage above was confined to Lincoln, Fayette and Jefferson Counties. They were situated in middle of State of KY from Lincoln at bottom, Fayette in middle on East side of center and Jefferson at top center of KY. In 1790 census of KY Hite's listed were; Abraham Hite Sr. Jefferson Co Isaac Hite, Jefferson Co Joseph Hite Jefferson Co Thomas Hite Lincoln Co James Hiter Fayette Co ? Elias Hitt Fayette Co Waddell's listed; George Bourbon Co Henry Madison Co Henry Madison Co James Bourbon Co White's listed; Andrew Lincoln Co Catherine Fayette Co Charles Madison Co Daniel Lincoln Co Elizabeth Jefferson Co George Lincoln Co George Madison Co James Fayette Co James Fayette Co Jas.
