Not my line but this family came from Fauquier Co VA to Mason Co KY in 1796. My earliest proven ancestor, William White Sr. had several children who left Fauquier Co VA about the same time to go to Mason Co KY. Jilson Hamrick was a VA soldier who enlisted in Loudoun Co VA in 1781. I am looking for proof that Mason Co KY land was given to VA soldiers about that time. I found this info and thought I would share it. Enlisted, Loudin-sic Co VA 1781. He moved from VA to Mason Co KY 1796. RW Pension Roll 1177. They married in 1785 Fauquier Co VA and then moved to Mason Co KY, then to Kenton Co KY. Enlisted Loudoun Co VA. 1781. In 1796, he moved from VA to Mason Co KY, Rev War Pension R4550 1800 Mason Co KY tax list 1810 Mason Co KY 30001-12001 1820 Mason Co KY 1830 Mason Co KY p 249 1840 Mason Co KY 1850 Mason Co KY roll 159, p 336 Isaac W. Baylor, 57 farmer, b VA, Elizabeth Hamrick 53 b VA, Isaac W. Baylor age 20 b VA, Sarah L. Baylor age 15 b IA, Daniel R. Baylor 12 b IA, Gilson Hamrick age 87 b VA. Sarah [Thomas[86 b VA. Samuel Hamrick ca 1766- ca 1850 Note; 1799-1820 Culpeper, VA Tax List, census. OR? May be living with son, James in Rappahannock Co VA with a 60-70 year old female. 1810 census Culpeper VA Note, Benjamin Hamrick , son of Patrick and Margaret, was born July 9, 1739, prob in King Geo Co VA, died un Upson Co GA after Nov 1832/ Married Mary Sais who was dau of John Sais who died in Fauquier Co in 1773.
