Surnames: Valentine Frey Frei Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WBB.2ACI/3002.3 Message Board Post: I went and dug in the records on www.familysearch.org There are some transcribed church records for Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick, Frederick, Maryland And a HENRICH VALENTIN shows up marrying a ELISABETH FRIE on 21 SEP 1779 Batch No.: M504181 But, judging by the 1810 & 1850 censuses, the Mason Co., KY Henry was born about ~1765-70. So I don't think he could be marrying in 1779. If he really was born abt 1762 like you say, then it's just possible that he could have married when he was 17. I haven't seen this gravestone to verify the carving for "aged 89y" - it may be fairly weathered by now. The age given on the gravestone is off by nine years from the age given a few months earlier on the 1850 census: Gravestone inscription in Stonelick Cemetery, Mason County, KY Henry VALENTINE, d.
