Thomas had been active in the interest of veteran organizations for nearly 35 years. He died yesterday in his home, 2120 E. 81st Place, at the age of 65. Mr. Thomas was born in May's Lick, Ky., and went to Army service in World War I from there. He came here in 1923. Mr. Thomas was a past commander of Lemuel T. Boydston Post of the American Legion. He had been its service officer for more than 30 years. He was a member of Post No. 1646, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and active in church work. Surviving him are his wife, Jessie, and a daughter, Mrs. Norma Scoggin. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Boyd funeral home, 2165 E. 89th Street Courtesy Post
